A great big thank you to Ed Turner of Farm Bureau. He had a trailer he gave us. People have been so good to us. God is good to us.
We had a very successful Buggy Days this year thanks to the many people, including our volunteers, who donated so many items and money to help us. Volunteers worked tirelessly before Buggy Days getting things needed to operate the booth. Others worked before, during and after Buggy Days making it possible for everyone to take breaks. Our donation jars were also rewarded for our efforts and we received many compliments and much encouragement to continue our work. We would like to thank each and every one who helped us. There are too many to name. But know that you were noticed and are appreciated.
Our latest endeavor is a space at the new park where Summers Field was located. We have a section that we will place bricks with your name and your pet's name. Your can put in honor of your current pet or a pet gone to Heaven. We will be taking orders soon. The cost is $25 - 30 a brick. So, be thinking about this and put your baby's name on a brick.
We are offering tiles for sale. You might want them for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. They can sit on mantles, desks, in windows, etc. For a few dollars more, you can purchase a stand for your tile. More information on sizes and prices will be forthcoming . Please contact Beverly at 770-710-4697 if interested. Leave a message if she doesn't answer and she will return your call. Prices start at $7.50. These and others are available.
PETSMART IS A GREAT PLACE:
We are beginning to go to PetSmart almost every Saturday. We have a bigger crowd on Saturdays. We will be right inside the front door hoping to adopt some wonderful cats and dogs to some great homes. If you're in Macon on Saturdays, please stop by to see us - even just to say hello. Joe one of the managers has really been kind to us and we really appreciate him and all the workers at Petsmart who have helped us.
WE ARE AN APPROVED AG DEPT RESCUE ORGANIZATION
Some of the people in the picture actually worked building our Jake & Edna Brown Rescue Shelter. Some are workers, and some are loafers who just showed up for the picture........
Thank you to all who volunteered your time to build the facility. Your help will allow us to continue and expand our rescue work.

Information for Responsible Pet Owners:
DO NOT leave your beloved pet in your vehicle during the summer. The temperature can run over 100 degrees. This will cause your pet to have a heat stroke. Some die from this if they don't get vet care immediately.
Make sure that pets don't feel fear, pain or deprivation.
Pets should be protected from excessive heat and cold with adequate shelter, nutritious food, and fresh water.
Pets should be protected from injury and disease, including keeping them free of fleas and ticks and be provided veterinary care.
Pets should have adequate exercise, play and the freedom to behave like normal cats/dogs, etc.
Pets should have a good human-animal relationship that enhances mutual affection, communication and trust.
